Q: What is a VPN?
A: A Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a direct tunnel through the internet, connecting you with our UK based servers. All Internet traffic to and from your machine will then be tunnelled through our high bandwidth lines to our servers, and then securely to and from the outside world, and with an IP address which makes you appear to be in the UK and keeps you totally secure and anonymous.

Q: Can I get a trial before I purchase?
A: YES! Simply go to http://www.uktelevision.tv/vpn_login.asp and sign up for a free account.

As soon as you click the confirmation email, your trial will begin.

Q: Can I use your VPN instead of my current ISP connection?
A: No, an existing internet connection is required in order to connect to the VPN service.

Q: Which other protocols are also sent via the VPN service.
A: All Internet traffic, including that sent from programs other than your Web Browser are encrypted and sent via our VPN servers.

Q: My VPN client reconnects every few minutes and gives me a new IP Address, why is this?
OpenVPN client keeps turning yellow for a short time, before reconnecting and returning to green, why is this?
Can I connect with more than one device at a time?
A: If your VPN client continually reconnects, this means you are connected in more than one place at the same time. Disconnect one of your connection, and the other connection will remain stable.
Connecting from multiple locations simultaneously will hinder your connection speed as a consistent connection will never be maintained.
If you cannot find your second connection to disconnect it, please go to your uktelevision.tv VPN Account and change your password. This will cause your second connection to disconnect at the next reconnect.

Q: I've created an account and started my free trial, what do I do now?
A: Please proceed to the uktelevision.tv Documents and Downloads page.
Here you will find installation documents and client installers for your operating system.
Follow the relevant instructions to get connected.

Q: I am seeing the following message when I login, why is this?

'Please activate your VPN account by logging into your already active Gold account and choosing the VPN option from the account page.'
A: This means that you are attempting to login to an area that you do not currectly have an account for.
Return to uktelevision.tv and select Gold service.
Try to login again. Once logged in you will see that there is a button which says 'Try the VPN service - Free Trial'. Clicking this button will create a VPN account and trial with the same credentials as your Gold account.

Q: I am seeing the following message when I login, why is this?

Q: Recently, I updated to OSX Lion and found that tunnelblick does not work as well as before.
It keeps connecting and disconnecting.

What can I do?
A: Right Click on the TunnelBlick icon found at the top right of the screen. Choose Details.

Make sure that the Monitor Connection check box is unchecked and this should solve the problem.

Note: You may need to restart the Tunnelblick OR OSX.
